Vasu Kolla, Engagement Director, PebbleRoad – Vasu heads product teams at PebbleRoad, a strategy and design consultancy in Singapore. He works with C level at traditional organisations to plan and execute digital transformation initiatives. Vasu’s areas of expertise lie in product management, organisation design and agile ways of working. He is passionate about using design-led approaches for business transformation. Vasu has masters in Information Systems from Nanyang Technology University, Singapore. He contributes to growing the design and product practice in Singapore through teaching and organising events.
Transformation in organisations needs coordination between diverse groups of stakeholders. To facilitate transformation, we need a process and initiate a system-level change driven by values. Designers can play a vital role in shaping this change. Reflecting on my experience leading transformation projects, I will explore:
- How to frame transformation in the organisation?
- How does transformation happen in organisations?
- What is wrong with existing models of change?
- How can designers enable transformation?
Design can have more impact when it contributes to positive change in the organisations.
