Currently I work at MattressFirm as Sr. UX Manager and I lead the user experience design for the e-commerce site, mattressfirm.com. It is a 100% remote environment and the teams are spread across multiple cities. Prior to this, I was at Charles Schwab as Sr UX Manager. Pre-covid, I worked in the Chicago office but even then the work was mostly remote as the teams were mostly in Austin, San Francisco, Denver, etc. I’ve worked in the world of digital design for over 15 years with various agencies as well as enterprise companies. Sometimes I would be a team of one, sometimes I would work with a small but mighty squad team, and some were as big as 200+ UXers. My background is in graphic design and communication and I combine these two disciplines everyday to create delightful experiences for people.
I work in 100% remote environment and I’d like to give a talk about how to work collaboratively. Product design is a team sport and a lot of us have changed our way of working after COVID. Twitter and some forward thinking companies are even deciding to go remote forever. I’d like to share my thoughts and experiences on transforming the way we work in digital.
