Virgil Wong founded the interactive media division for New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical College. Over 15 years, he led the design and development of over 200 web sites in patient care, research, and education. He was co-chair of the CTSC Web Portal Group, which was dedicated to leveraging new technologies in the rapid development of advanced biomedical research. Over the last 10 years, he has also exhibited art works exploring the future of medicine and technology at major venues around the world, including the Sundance Film Festival and the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia.
As the EHR implementation expert for Weill Cornell Medical College and UBMD, a 500-physician practice group, Akshay Kapur transitioned 17 individual medical practices from paper to electronic systems in the last 6 years.
