Better.sg is a relatively young non-profit volunteer-run organisation that drives techforgood in Singapore. I’ll talk about three big ideas that are core to us (and somewhat unusual): (1) a volunteer-centric model of volunteering, (2) a design-thinking, multidisciplinary, and society-first approach to techforgood, and (3) an innovation-driven and “positive-nudge” model of using technology to address social problems. I’ll use some of our 20+ projects from our ~1000 members as examples.
