Everybody is making the right choice at the moment of deciding – from their internal point of view. Even if that choice turns out to be the wrong choice milliseconds later. My view is that the problem lies in the lack of human capabilities to assess the consequences of any given choice. While the burden of this clairvoyance is somewhat lifted from our human shoulders by the rise of non-human agents, and while there are areas where tireless AI systems have better judgment than us, the question that I will explore remains: do we need better decisions or do we benefit more from learning from bad decisions?
